My mother in law introduced us to the addicting activity of dipping apples! It doesn’t just stop at caramel with her, she brings out all the goods!! My favorite is caramel, white chocolate with cinnamon sugar. I’d be lying if I didn’t mention how much I love the reeses peanut butter chunks on it either. I love peanut butter cup anything!! Caramel apples don’t have to be hard or time consuming it’s really as easy as melting, dipping and letting it dry! We got all our ingredients at Gygi Kitchen because it comes in large quantities at a wholesale cost. First, get a brick of caramel and cut off a chunk. Put it in a cereal bowl and throw it in the microwave for a minute stirring every 30 seconds. Pull it out and slather your apple with it. We don’t technically dip our apples it is a lot easier to grab a spatula and just throw it on there. We have a wide variety of assorted candy and nuts that we dip our caramel apples in. After we have dipped our apples in more candy than necessary, we put our carameled apple on some wax paper while we melt the chocolate. Same thing goes with the chocolate, put it in a cereal bowl and in the microwave and stir it every 30 seconds. Then drizzle the chocolate over the apples and let them dry for about 10 minutes. Walaaa so easy and sooo yummy!! Get creative with it, you don’t have to follow the order we did just start melting stuff and slathering your apple with it and dunking it in goodies. You can achieve cute and yummy caramel apples with just melting items in the microwave and easily slathering it on with a spatula. Have fun!!
