Romantic Mermaid Hair wave tutorial. Valentine’s hair maybe?

photo 2

Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamnt of being a mermaid, a lot of my hair inspiration comes from that young dream of mine. Classy thick side swept curls are my absolute favorite they are so elegant and would be stunning on Valentine’s Day. I hope this might help add the finishing touches on your Valentine’s evening.

I love this hair do because it is so easy it starts with fresh washed hair, and who doesn’t love that aroma? Then you pin it up while you do your make-up take it out and do some finishing touches and it is finished. Super easy!

Step one: Wash hair and do a far side hair part, remember always think comb over 🙂

Step two: Leave out the side part section, and wrap the rest of your hair up in a twisted bun.  While your hair drys in the bun it will curl nicely. I don’t need to use any product in this step due to my natural curls but if you would like to use some I recommend this.

Step three: With your fingers do a natural finger wave throughout the hair section and pin each wave into place.  This will train your hair to wave romantically around your face after it has dried.

Step four: Use a few spritz of hairspray, my favorite is this.

Step five: Take out your hair and curl any pieces you think might need a little taming.

Step six: Finish off by taming any friz with this and then finish with a coat of my favorie hairspray.

Tadaa all finished, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Let’s get dressed for Valentines!

photo 3-4

With Valentine’s Day around corner I thought it would be appropriate to give a little outfit inspiration for the big day.  I am a sucker for romance so Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays.  Even when I was single I just enjoyed the idea of celebrating Love, after all Love is really the only thing we have to live for.  I have been with my husband for a little over two years and have really enjoyed our journy of falling in love, the after math of marriage has made love even more enjoyable. I love the challenge of finding new ways to express my love and cannot wait for the chapter in our lives when we get to express our love to our little critters, and when I say critters I mean children 🙂 Anyways sorry for the ooey gooey but it’s the month of love I couldn’t resist! I love feeling extra girlie on Valentine’s day so a pink dress seemed perfect! I don’t like to over do it and be to glamours so this simple chic dress really stuck out to me and to add that feminine peplum touch was just the cherry on top! I hope you all have a romantic evening whether it be with friends, family, or your loved one be sure to have love in your heart and pass it along to all who come in contact with you.

XOXO, Jenessa
